The daily maintenance of Vertical Lift mainly includes six core aspects: mechanical structure inspection, lubrication maintenance, electrical and control system testing, hydraulic system management (if applicable), safety device testing, and cleaning management, to ensure long-term stable, safe, and efficient operation of equipment.

Compared to traditional equipment, automated elevators rely on sensors, PLC control, and intelligent scheduling systems. Their maintenance emphasizes accuracy, responsiveness, and system synergy, and requires targeted maintenance based on automation characteristics.

1、 Mechanical structure and transmission system inspection

Guide rail and chain status: Check the guide rail daily for deformation, dust accumulation, or jamming, and the chain for elongation, cracks, or loose pins to ensure smooth operation of the loading plate or fork.

Roller and bearing inspection: Observe whether the roller rotates flexibly, whether the bearing has any abnormal noise or overheating, and replace it in a timely manner if the gap exceeds 0.5mm.

Structural fastening of stacker crane/elevator: Regularly check whether the columns, beams, and connecting bolts are loose to prevent positioning deviation caused by vibration.

2、 Lubrication system maintenance (key anti wear measures)

Regularly add lubricating grease: Add lithium based lubricating grease to moving parts such as chains, guide rails, bearings, hinges, etc. every week to reduce friction losses.

Full coverage of lubrication points: Pay special attention to the lubrication of concealed parts (such as intermediate shafts and cylinder pin shafts) to avoid exacerbating local wear due to omissions.

Oil quality monitoring: If discoloration, blackening, or impurities are found in the lubricating oil, it should be replaced immediately to ensure lubrication effectiveness.

3、 Electrical and control system testing

Line and connector inspection: Check for cable damage and loose connectors to ensure stable signal transmission.

Sensor function verification: Regularly test the sensitivity of photoelectric sensors and position detection switches to prevent misjudgment caused by dust coverage or looseness.

Control cabinet environment management: Keep the electrical control box dry and clean, and avoid short circuits caused by moisture or dust accumulation.

PLC and communication status monitoring: By monitoring the operation status of the equipment through the upper computer, ensure the normal reception and execution of instructions, and avoid communication interruptions.

4、 Hydraulic system maintenance (applicable to hydraulic drive type)

Hydraulic oil level and quality: When the lifting platform is fully raised, the oil level should be 40-50mm above the bottom of the tank; if the oil becomes dark, sticky, or has foreign objects, it needs to be replaced with 32 # hydraulic oil.

Pipeline and seal inspection: Check for leaks in hydraulic pipelines and loose joints to prevent pressure loss or sudden malfunctions.

Filter cleaning and replacement: Regularly clean or replace the hydraulic system filter to prevent impurities from blocking the valve body.

5、 Functional testing of safety devices

Limit switch and emergency stop button: Test daily whether the upper limit switch and limit switch can automatically power off. After pressing the emergency stop button, the equipment should immediately stop and cannot be restarted.

Inspection of anti fall devices: such as anti fall hooks, safety ropes, etc., ensure that the connection is firm, the action is reliable, and prevent the carrier board from accidentally falling.

Sound and light alarm system testing: Confirm that the alarm light and buzzer can be triggered normally in abnormal states to enhance the warning effect.

6、 Cleaning and Operating Environment Management

Equipment surface cleaning: Wipe the equipment casing and operation panel with a soft cloth daily to avoid corrosion of the surface by acidic and alkaline cleaning agents.

Track and operation area cleaning: Remove debris and dust from the guide rail to prevent jamming or scratching.

Environmental temperature and humidity control: Keep the warehouse environment dry to avoid high humidity causing aging of electrical components or rusting of metal parts.
